State Senator John A. Kissel Endorsed by the Independent Party of Connecticut

Sen. John A. Kissel (R – 7th)

State Senator John A. Kissel, who was nominated for re-election at the 7th Senate District Republican Convention in May, received the additional endorsement of the state’s Independent Party of Connecticut on August 26th. With this endorsement, Sen. Kissel’s name will now appear on both the Republican and Independent Party of Connecticut lines of the general election ballot in November.

“I am truly honored to have won the endorsement of the Independent Party of Connecticut”, Sen. Kissel said. “To now have the support of both the Republican and Independent parties is humbling. I continue to work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for the residents of the 7th Senate District especially during these unprecedented times. I love this state and will continue fighting to pass policies which put Connecticut on a more stable, predictable, pro-business, pro-taxpayer path. That’s how I have always aimed to serve the people of the 7th District and I think now more than ever steady, experienced leadership is needed. I hope to continue to be the voice of the people at the State Capitol, and I am very appreciative of this endorsement.”

Senator Kissel, who is the Chief Deputy Senate Republican Leader serves as the Ranking Member of the Judiciary Committee, which addresses matters relating to the Department of Corrections, courts, judicial procedures and criminal law. He also serves on the General Law Committee, which addresses matters relating to the Department of Consumer Protection, and the Transportation Committee.

He represents the 7th Senate District, which includes East Granby, Enfield, part of Granby, Somers, Suffield, part of Windsor, and Windsor Locks.
